Yes. KaviNote uses Apple's on-device speech recognizer (requiring on-device processing) and runs the semantic matching model (MiniLM) locally via Core ML. Nothing is recorded, transmitted, or stored anywhere — not on our servers, not in the cloud. You can verify this by using KaviNote in airplane mode — it works perfectly.
Nope. Zero accounts, zero sign-ups. Even the Pro subscription runs through your App Store account invisibly — no logins, no email, no passwords, no personal data shared with us.
It matches meaning, not exact words. A question phrased differently from your notes still lands on your answer — that's the whole point. Accuracy improves when your note questions use everyday vocabulary. Check the Help Center for tips on phrasing that maximizes matching quality.
Yes. Place the phone near your laptop's speakers. KaviNote transcribes whatever it hears clearly — a single voice works best, but it'll catch questions from multiple speakers.
KaviNote is a preparation and reference tool — same category as cue cards and teleprompters. You're responsible for following the rules of your specific situation: employer policies, interview rules, recording-consent laws, etc. Know your local laws and interview guidelines.
Your notes are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, notes back up to your personal iCloud (encrypted, your account). If you don't enable iCloud sync, enable it now to protect your data — or keep your own backups.
Yes. Install KaviNote on iPad the same way. If you use the same Apple ID, your subscription and iCloud notes sync across devices.
You can copy-paste notes into email or other apps. Full export is on our roadmap. For now, you can also open notes in text editors and copy from there.
